Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use shofa.social, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, larger text or reduced motion. This statement covers the website at shofa.social.
What we've done
- Text is at least 16 pixels (18 on the page for families), with strong contrast on the paper background.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Every page works with a keyboard. The drawn street can be walked with Tab, the arrow buttons or the cafe list.
- The street drawing has a text version, with every cafe's address, hours and table listed on the Whitechapel page and each cafe's page.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the street stops drifting and nothing animates.
What isn't right yet
The illustrations are placeholders and their descriptions are short. The site hasn't had an independent audit yet (planned before launch).
